About the Job
Done Right Chimney is looking for a dependable part-time person to help keep our shop, equipment, materials, and field crews organized and ready to go.
This is a hands-on support position based primarily at our shop in Haydenville. No chimney experience is necessary.
The position is ideal for someone looking for approximately 8–16 hours per week who enjoys staying active, organizing things, working with their hands, and seeing what needs to be done.
Saturday availability is required. Additional weekday, afternoon, or evening hours may be available depending on your availability and our workload.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Cleaning and organizing chimney rods, tools, and equipment.
- Cleaning and organizing drop cloths and job-site supplies.
- Loading and unloading materials.
- Moving and staging materials for upcoming jobs.
- Organizing inventory and supplies.
- Keeping shelving and storage areas orderly.
- Helping keep the shop clean.
- Breaking down boxes and disposing of job-site/shop debris.
- Preparing tools and materials for the following workday.
- Assisting with deliveries and incoming materials.
- Helping technicians load or unload trucks.
- Occasional field support when appropriate.
- General shop and warehouse tasks as needed.
This isn't complicated work, but it is important work. A well-organized shop helps our technicians get out the door prepared and keeps the entire company running more efficiently.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and shows up when scheduled.
- Can work independently after being shown what needs to be done.
- Notices when something needs cleaning, organizing, or restocking.
- Is comfortable lifting and moving tools and materials.
- Takes care of company equipment.
- Works safely.
- Doesn't mind getting dirty.
- Can follow instructions.
- Takes pride in leaving things better than they found them.
Previous warehouse, stocking, landscaping, maintenance, construction, custodial, retail stockroom, farm, or other hands-on experience can be helpful, but isn't required.

Approximately 8–16 hours per week.

Position reports to our shop in Haydenville, MA.
Starting Pay:
$18/hour.

This position may also be a good opportunity for someone interested in learning more about chimney, hearth, masonry, or other skilled-trade work over time, but there is no expectation that you already have trade experience.
