Done Right Chimney is seeking a skilled Masonry Technician to join our restoration team. This role involves hands-on chimney and fireplace masonry—including repointing, rebuilding, and crown work. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with brick, block, and mortar experience looking for steady, year-round employment with a respected local company.
Core Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and repoint chimneys and fireboxes.
- Pour and coat concrete and mortar crowns.
- Set flue tiles and install concrete wash crowns.
- Perform masonry repairs in accordance with NFPA standards and building codes.
- Assist with hearth and appliance installations as needed.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-documented job sites.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
- Daily roof access and ladder use are required—this is a rooftop trade.
- Ability to safely use scaffolding, fall protection, and site safety gear
- Lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of masonry experience (residential or light commercial preferred).
- Proficiency with mortar finishing, brick/block work, and masonry tools.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-focused.
